Argentina hosts charity drive in Formosa and cultural gathering in Santiago del Estero

Caritas Argentina marked its 70th year of fundraising with the annual collection in Formosa on June 6‑7. Volunteers set up donation points on major avenues, encouraging motorists and pedestrians to contribute cash, diapers, footwear, coats, blankets and sewing supplies for the organization’s social programmes.

In Santiago del Estero, municipal authorities participated in the Encuentro de Colectividades, a street‑level celebration of immigrant communities. Participants displayed flags, traditional clothing and symbols across Plaza Libertad and nearby streets, while the mayor’s office presented a token of appreciation. The event included a festival and a fair for local entrepreneurs, highlighting the city’s cultural diversity.
