Argentina hosts first Brassica Symposium in Paraná

The first Brassica Symposium, titled ‘Mundo Brassicas’, was held in Paraná, Entre Ríos, organized by Nufarm Argentina. The event brought together specialists, researchers, and producers from Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil to discuss the agronomic, economic, and environmental potential of canola and carinata crops.

Entre Ríos province holds a leading position in Argentina for carinata cultivation. During the opening, Governor Rogelio Frigerio highlighted the strategic importance of these crops as essential raw materials for the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The symposium focused on technical exchanges regarding crop management, genetic adaptation, and the integration of these alternatives into agricultural rotations to enhance value chains and support the biofuels industry.
