Argentina hosts international canoe and ultra-endurance championships
Argentina will host two major international endurance sporting events this October. In Gualeguaychú, the country will host the Canoe Marathon World Championship for the first time in history. Athletes from Club Regatas Uruguay are set to compete in various categories, including Master and Elite, following their 2026 national team championship victory.
Simultaneously, the city of Dolores will serve as the host site for the National Team Backyard Ultra World Championship. A 15-member Argentine team will participate in this global ultra-endurance competition, which is being held simultaneously in over 70 countries. The Backyard Ultra format requires runners to complete a 6.706-kilometer loop every hour, continuing until only one participant remains capable of completing a lap.
