Argentina hosts international press tours in Catamarca and La Rioja

International journalists from nine countries participated in extensive press tours to promote tourism in the Argentine provinces of Catamarca and La Rioja.

In Catamarca, more than 20 journalists from Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Germany, and Argentina took part in a six-day tour organized by the World Organization of Tourism Journalism. The itinerary included visits to religious sites, local cultural heritage, and natural landscapes, supported by local government ministries and municipalities. Journalists documented their experiences through digital media, social networks, and radio broadcasts to highlight the region's landscapes and local traditions.

Simultaneously, an international Fam Press initiative took place in La Rioja from September 19 to 23. Journalists from Honduras, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Venezuela, and Germany explored departments such as Chilecito, General Felipe Varela, and Vinchina. The tour focused on attractions including Talampaya National Park, the Cable Carril, and the Laguna Brava Provincial Reserve, as well as local wine routes and adventure tourism. This initiative was driven by the La Rioja Secretariat of Tourism in collaboration with the private sector to strengthen the province's presence in national and international markets.
