Regional cultural and gastronomic festivals launch across multiple countries
Various regions across Spain, Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, and Venezuela are hosting diverse cultural, gastronomic, and literary events throughout October.
In Spain, Granada is deploying 1,500 flags to promote its candidacy for European Capital of Culture 2031. Alcalá de Henares is hosting the II Encuentro Castamusic to celebrate the castanets, while Binéfar holds its 30th vehicle fair. Madrid is launching JazzMadrid 2026, featuring soul and electronic influences, and Almuñécar is celebrating its V Centenary and Jazz en Otoño.
Argentina features a wide array of activities, including the 18th Book Fair in Catamarca with dedicated children's spaces, the Ibero-American Book Fair in Resistencia offering 50% discounts, and boxing finals in Jujuy. Other regional events include gastronomic fairs in Macachín and cultural festivities in La Costa.
In Uruguay, Paysandú is hosting a series of heritage and cultural activities, while Lavalleja is celebrating its 53rd Semana de Lavalleja with music and gastronomy. Mexico's González is hosting its 33rd International Festival, and Venezuela's EJC Diocesano is holding a family fundraiser for its upcoming youth encounter.
