Argentina hosts national youth alpine skiing competitions

Youth alpine skiing competitions are underway across Argentina as part of the national calendar organized by the Federación Argentina de Ski y Andinismo (FASA).

At Cerro Bayo, the U14 category held its second competition block, hosted by Club Andino Villa la Angostura. The event drew 89 athletes from nine different clubs. Due to track conditions, only the Slalom ‘Copa Cerro Bayo’ was successfully completed. In the men's U14 Slalom, Agustín González Vidal took first place, followed by Iñaki Mistorni and Joaquín Rodríguez Tatschler. In the women's category, Catalina González Echazú secured the top position, with Francisca Navarro and Emilia Maspero finishing second and third, respectively.

Simultaneously, the U16 circuit is progressing with participation from athletes representing Club Andino Ushuaia and Club de la Nieve. Competitors have participated in various blocks at Cerro Catedral and Cerro Perito Moreno. The circuit is scheduled to continue with FIS Cup events at La Hoya and will conclude with the Argentine Championship at Cerro Castor in late September and early October.
