Argentina hosts religious commemorations in Viedma and Tucumán

Argentina is hosting various religious and historical commemorations across different regions. In Viedma, Río Negro, a religious tourism circuit has been established to honor the legacy of Saint Artémides Zatti, a Salesian coadjutor canonized by Pope Francis in 2022. The route connects significant sites including the Cathedral of Our Lady of Mercy, the Manzana Histórica, and the Don Bosco Complex, highlighting the Salesian influence on education, health, and culture in Patagonia.

In San Miguel de Tucumán, festivities are being organized in honor of the Virgin of Mercy, the patron saint of the city. The schedule includes a novena from September 15 to September 23, culminating in a major celebration on September 24. This date marks both the patron saint's day and the anniversary of the Battle of Tucumán of 1812, featuring a combination of liturgical acts, civic ceremonies, and military tributes.
