Argentina hosts youth rugby championships in Tucumán and Jujuy

The Tucumán Rugby Union (URT) will host the Argentine Under‑17 Rugby Championship from 11 to 15 November. Matches will be played at Los Tarcos and training will be concentrated around Parque 9 de Julio to limit travel and environmental impact. Organisers expect more than 2,000 visitors, boosting local tourism while showcasing a pioneering sustainability model.

In Jujuy, the provincial rugby union has scheduled an inter‑provincial Under‑16 match against Salta on Saturday at the Gimnasia y Esgrima venue. The day will also feature women’s fixtures and other youth games as part of preparations for the regional tournament in Junín, Buenos Aires, in October. Over 50 players from across the province will take part, and officials are also gearing up for upcoming visits by Los Pumas and the Australian national side in August.
