Argentina housing registries see high demand in provinces

Housing demand registries in Argentina are seeing significant activity as families seek social housing solutions. In the Province of Buenos Aires, the official housing registry has recorded 67,295 requests across 76 municipalities. These requests include needs for complete homes, improvements to existing dwellings, or land plots for construction.

In Bariloche, the municipal registry for social land plots has reached approximately 9,000 applicants. Local authorities have postponed the lottery for 750 social plots until after November 1 to coincide with municipal elections. Officials noted that the pre-selection process will involve cross-referencing data with other programs to prevent irregularities and ensure applicants meet the necessary requirements.
