Digital violence and grooming prevention initiatives launched in Latin America

Various regional initiatives are addressing digital violence, grooming, and juvenile legal responsibility. In Argentina, forums in Rosario and Mendoza have focused on the impact of the Olimpia and Ema laws, which aim to prevent gender-based digital abuse and promote digital literacy in schools. Officials in San Juan have also emphasized the role of educational institutions in intervening before adolescents enter the criminal justice system under new juvenile penal regulations.

In Costa Rica, the ColibrIA foundation and El Domo agency have launched an interactive campaign featuring educational videos and infographics to help families detect and report grooming. This initiative, supported by the National Commission against Grooming, seeks to address the high rate of underreporting caused by digital manipulation and victim guilt.
