Argentina inaugurates Premios Pinti theatre awards

The Argentine Association of Theatre and Musical Entrepreneurs (AADET) announced the first edition of the Premios Pinti, a new set of awards dedicated to commercial theatre in Argentina. Named after renowned actor‑comedian Enrique Pinti, the honors combine an expert jury of 25 cultural figures with direct voting by the public to recognize artistic quality, longevity, and box‑office success.

Award categories include the traditional Trayectoria prize, Espectáculos del Año – determined by audience attendance statistics – and a Favorite of the Public award chosen through an online platform that remains open until 23 July. AADET published a public regulation detailing the nomination and voting procedures to ensure transparency and credibility of the process.
