Criminal investigations continue across Argentina and Panama

In Argentina, authorities are investigating several tragic incidents. In Río Grande, the family of 3-year-old Tayron Lionel Villalba is seeking justice following allegations of medical malpractice at the Hospital Regional. The family claims a pediatrician sent the child home with only ibuprofen despite symptoms of fever and vomiting, leading to a fatal bacterial infection. Consequently, judicial authorities are considering the exhumation of the child's body to determine the exact cause of death.

In Panama, the death of a newborn baby at the Hospital del Niño has led to a change in criminal charges. The infant died following an emergency cesarean section after her mother, Raiza Díaz, was shot during an attack in Caimitillo. Prosecutors intend to upgrade the charges against the suspect, Luis Fernando Castrejo, to double homicide.

Other reported incidents include the investigation into a five-month-old baby who arrived at Hospital Gamen in Argentina without vital signs, and a case in Mendoza where a woman fell from a fifth-floor hotel room. In Mexico, a man was arrested in Benito Juárez for the alleged feminicide of a 15-year-old girl, and a separate case in Mexico City resulted in a 45-year prison sentence for a man who murdered his partner and attempted to stage it as a suicide.
