Argentina launches free community theater workshops in Puerto Madryn and expands provincial arts programs

The Subsecretaría de Cultura of Puerto Madryn announced several free theatrical workshops open to the public. Sessions include a community theater class held on Thursdays in the Solana de la Patagonia neighborhood, a youth-focused workshop on Mondays at the Dr. Pozzi Health Center, and a business‑oriented program for entrepreneurs led by professor Mariana Villani at the San Miguel Cultural Center. All courses operate with flexible registration during class times.

In Tucumán, the Dirección de Teatro of the Ente Cultural, directed by Andrés D´Andrea, is revitalising provincial theatre production amid economic challenges. The agency has resumed its own productions, introduced a children’s musical, revived the Provincial Theatre Festival, and prepared a micro‑theatre circuit and the National Student Theatre Encounter in October. The initiatives emphasize community participation, low‑cost tickets and training for local artists.
