Argentina launches mobile health train in Chaco and announces hospital upgrades in Jujuy

A refurbished 11‑carriage Mobile Health and Institutional Train, named 25 de Mayo, will begin service in Argentina’s Chaco province in the coming days. The train, restored after years of neglect by the Ministry of Capital Human, will travel to remote towns offering free medical, dental, eye‑care and social‑service consultations, including a rapid‑distribution program that provides spectacles to children within minutes. Tomás Basil, the national director of Territorial Articulation, highlighted the train’s role in delivering essential health and welfare services directly to the population.

In Jujuy, Health Minister José Manzur marked the 66th anniversary of Hospital Dr. Arturo Zabala in Perico by announcing a tender for refurbishment works. The project will first renovate the Medical Clinic ward in July, followed by upgrades to the pharmacy area, reflecting a broader provincial effort to improve health‑infrastructure, equipment and human resources.
