Argentina launches training programs for addiction prevention and accessibility

The Provincial Institute of Public Administration (IPAP) and the Provincial Agency of Addictions and Additive Health (APASA) have launched a free virtual training course titled ‘Infancies and consumption: the school, the neighborhood and the community as spaces for care and promotion of integral health’. The program is designed for public agents, community workers, and individuals working with children and adolescents in educational, social, and sporting environments to foster protective settings and a culture of prevention.

Additionally, staff at the Local Preventive Center for Addictions (CEPLA) have undergone training in Argentine Sign Language (LSA). This initiative aims to improve accessibility and communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals participating in the center's workshops and activities, removing barriers to essential services.
