Argentina advances sports infrastructure and hosts major basketball event

Argentina is preparing for several major sporting events and infrastructure developments. Rosario will inaugurate the 'Invencible Arena' at Parque Independencia, a multipurpose venue serving as a key site for the XIII South American Games in September 2026. The arena is designed for international standards and will host gymnastics disciplines, with future plans to expand capacity to 10,000 spectators.

In Córdoba, the 'La Crossover' basketball event will take place on August 8 and 9 at the Polideportivo Carlos Cerutti. The show features professional and streetball players under managers like Marcelo Milanesio and Andrés Nocioni, with Facundo Campazzo participating and hosting. The competition uses modified rules, including a four-point line and lower rims to enhance entertainment.

Additionally, Club San Martín de Corrientes has completed a significant renovation of its main court floor at the 'Raul Argentino Ortiz' stadium. Meanwhile, regional basketball activity continues with the Torneo Clausura in Tierra del Fuego and the OBL tournament in Paysandú, Uruguay.
