Argentina launches university-health collaborations in nutrition and mental health

The municipal Health Secretariat of Catamarca and the Faculty of Health Sciences at the National University of Catamarca signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen training for students of the Nutrition degree. The pact allows students to complete pre‑professional practice in local primary health units, with academic supervision, technical reporting and bio‑security standards.

The University of Buenos Aires announced the forthcoming inauguration of a hospital‑school in the Caballito neighbourhood of Buenos Aires. The facility will serve as a practicum site for psychology graduates and is expected to provide up to 100,000 mental‑health services annually. It will house 28 consulting rooms, group spaces and a multi‑purpose hall, and is slated for full operation by December 2026.
