Argentina launches various free health programs

The government of Corrientes has introduced the Sanitary Survey Program for Malvinas War veterans. This initiative provides free general medical check-ups, nutritional controls, and preventive studies, including laboratory tests, electrocardiograms, and ultrasounds. The program is available to Corrientes veterans and their spouses, as well as veterans from Chaco, Misiones, Entre Ríos, and Buenos Aires who lack social security coverage. Services are provided through an agreement between the Provincial Directorate of Malvinas Argentinas, the Cardiology Institute, and PAMI at the “José Galván” Policonsultorio.

In Lanús, the “Plazas Saludables” program is conducting a week of community health activities. The initiative offers free vital sign monitoring, weight and height measurements, and healthy eating workshops across five local plazas. Residents can also participate in guided walks, low-impact exercises, and receive information regarding the health system and medication access programs.
