Argentina launches virtual language and senior university course enrollment for second semester

The Instituto de Idiomas announced that online registrations are open for its virtual language courses for the second semester. Courses are offered for children (ages 9‑11), adolescents (12‑15), adults (16+) and seniors (58+). In San Luis, English and Italian will be taught; Villa Mercedes will offer English only. Classes begin on 10 August and enrollment remains open until that date, with fees varying by level and language.

The Universidad Nacional de Rosario opened enrollment on 3 August for its “Program for Older Persons,” adding 13 new courses covering history, art, philosophy, technology, cinema, health, and citizenship. The free program is open to anyone over 50 and runs Monday‑Friday with multiple time slots. Rector Franco Bartolacci and program director Santiago Vieytes highlighted the university’s commitment to lifelong learning for seniors.
