Argentina hockey teams split results at 2026 World Cup

Argentina's national field hockey teams saw mixed results during the 2026 World Cup held in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Las Leonas, the women's national team, secured qualification for the second phase after a 2-0 victory against Scotland. Goals were scored by María José Granatto and Lara Casas. Los Leones, the men's national team, suffered their first defeat of the tournament, losing 3-1 to the host nation, the Netherlands. Despite an early equalizer by Nicolás Della Torre, the Dutch team pulled ahead in the third quarter with goals from Tijmen Reyenga and Duco Telgenkamp. Los Leones must now face New Zealand in a decisive match to determine their qualification for the next round.
