Argentina marks International Day of Cooperatives

In observance of the International Day of Cooperatives, themed ‘Cooperatives for a world in peace’, various organizations in Argentina held events to honor the cooperative movement.

The Chamber of Deputies of Entre Ríos recognized six local cooperatives for their contributions to regional development. The honored entities include the Lucienville Agricultural Cooperative, the Concordia Electric and Other Services Cooperative, the General Galarza Drinking Water Cooperative, the Luis Jeannot Sueyro Integrated Medical Assistance Work Cooperative, the Manos Talenses Textile Work Cooperative, and the La Paz Agricultural Cooperative.

Simultaneously, Banco Credicoop organized a nationwide event across its branches to promote solidarity and participatory democracy. The gathering featured presentations from Banco Credicoop President Carlos Heller, Ariel Guarco of the International Cooperative Alliance, and Juan Carlos Junio of the Floreal Gorini Cultural Center of Cooperation.
