Mental health initiatives expand in Argentina and Spain

Various regional initiatives are addressing mental health and addiction challenges. In Argentina, the provinces of Catamarca and La Rioja are collaborating on suicide prevention and managing substance abuse. In Chubut, a new virtual training program has been launched to provide communities and security forces with tools for first response during mental health crises. Additionally, Sedronar has recognized Villa María as a model municipality for its integrated approach to managing problematic consumption and addiction through local networks.

In Spain, psychologists in Gipuzkoa have launched a campaign to warn against the risks of self-diagnosis using social media and artificial intelligence, urging citizens to consult qualified professionals. Meanwhile, in Tudela, the third Mental Health Week will focus on the impact of digital screens and AI on adolescent mental health.
