Argentina Monitors Ceuta Migration Crisis, Considers Stricter Border Controls

The recent escalation at the Ceuta border between Spain and Morocco has prompted the Argentine government to closely monitor the situation. Proposed measures include maintaining the prohibition on entry for foreigners with criminal records, deploying mobile equipment, drones and satellite systems along the Argentina‑Bolivia frontier, and strengthening intelligence sharing with international agencies. The government emphasized that migration remains a constant focus of its agenda, noting that immigrants currently represent about 5% of the population, roughly two million people.
