Argentina motorcycle registrations grow 34.7% in August

The motorcycle market in Argentina has shown significant growth in 2026. According to data from the Cámara de Fabricantes de Motovehículos (CAFAM), motorcycle registrations in August reached 74,155 units, representing a 34.70% increase compared to August 2025.

Between January and August 2026, total registrations accumulated 590,861 units, up from 418,513 during the same period in 2025. National production remains the dominant force in the market, accounting for 96.85% of registrations in August, while imports totaled 2,337 units.

The market is highly concentrated in the 101 to 250cc engine capacity segment, which recorded 67,650 units. In terms of vehicle categories, Cub Underbone models led with 45,058 units, followed by Street (13,756) and On Off (12,117). Geographically, Buenos Aires recorded the highest number of registrations with 22,325, followed by Santa Fe, Córdoba, and Tucumán.
