Argentina motorsport sees TC2000 return to La Pampa and 56th anniversary at 9 de Julio
The TC2000 touring car series will hold its sixth calendar round on 8‑9 August at the Toay Autodromo in La Pampa, marking the championship’s return to the circuit after a five‑season absence. Four drivers – Franco Morillo, Franco Vivían, Nicolás Traut and Franco Riva – will represent the Lincoln‑based YPF Elaion Auro Pro Racing team. The event follows the series’ fifth round on 28 June in San Nicolás and revives the venue’s last TC2000 race on 15 August 2021.
Separately, the Automoto Club Nuevejuliense is commemorating the 56th anniversary of the Autódromo Ciudad de 9 de Julio "Guillermo ‘Yoyo’ Maldonado" with a month‑long programme of motorsport activities in July. Highlights include a Moto‑Picada competition on 5 July, a three‑day karting series on 10‑12 July, and a double‑header of the Turismo Promocional series on 25‑26 July, the latter coinciding with the official anniversary celebration. The club also announced infrastructure upgrades and new events to enhance the circuit’s facilities.
