Argentina municipal school athletics and volleyball teams compete in regional tournaments

The Escuela Municipal de Atletismo de Necochea fielded athletes at two weekend events. In Mar del Plata, triple‑jumper Rosario Coronel competed at the Justo Román stadium, while the team also took part in the Provincial U14 Championship in Tandil, a qualifier for the national championship. Coach Mauro Cabrera highlighted the region’s “high level of federated competition” and the growing opportunities for young athletes.

Meanwhile, the Escuela Municipal de Crespo’s volleyball squads played in the official Asociación Paranaense de Voleibol tournament. The Sub‑12 team won two matches and lost one, the Sub‑14 team recorded two victories, the Sub‑18 side was defeated 3‑0, and the senior men’s team lost both of its recent matches. Upcoming fixtures include additional Sub‑12 games and national‑level contests for both senior men’s and women’s teams.
