Argentina museums launch July cultural programs for families

The Museo Municipal de Arte de Puerto Madryn marks its 30th anniversary with a series of winter‑break activities beginning on 18 July. The opening event, held at 18:30, features a World Listening Day talk led by artist Juan Manuel Patricio and supported by the National Institute of Music (INAMU). Subsequent sessions include a 25 July conversation titled “Ser parte de la colección” and a joint activity on 27 July with the Centro Cultural San Miguel, where students from a local youth school explore the museum’s history and collections.

During the same period, the Museo de Arte Español Enrique Larreta invites families to enjoy classic Argentine animation by Manuel García Ferré. Screenings of “Super Hijitus”, “Trapito” and other beloved characters run on 24 July (micro‑cine), 25 July (auditorium), 31 July (micro‑cine) and 1 August (auditorium). The programme, part of the museum’s winter‑break offering, is included with museum admission and highlights the cultural memory of the nation’s animation heritage.
