Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni to continue through 2030

Lionel Scaloni is expected to officially confirm his continuity as the head coach of the Argentina national football team through 2030. An announcement regarding his extension is anticipated during the November FIFA international window.

In addition to Scaloni's leadership, discussions are underway regarding his coaching staff. There are optimistic efforts to retain Walter Samuel as an assistant coach, despite previous indications that Samuel might depart the technical team.

Looking ahead to the November international fixtures, Scaloni is preparing a squad that will notably exclude Lionel Messi. The team also faces several absences, including Emiliano Martínez and Lautaro Martínez. The coach is currently evaluating the fitness of Cristian Romero and Lisandro Martínez, while considering younger players such as Nicolás Paz, Leonardo Balerdi, and Thiago Almada for potential inclusion.
