Argentina national team players drive major football transfer activity

The football transfer market has seen significant movement involving several players from the Argentina national team, with total transactions for these players reaching approximately 348 million euros.

In Europe, Enzo Fernández completed a major move from Chelsea to Manchester City for 145 million euros, marking one of the most expensive transfers in football history. Other notable departures include Emiliano Martínez to Chelsea, Cristian Romero to Atlético de Madrid for 40 million euros, and Valentín Barco to Chelsea for 40 million euros. Additionally, Facundo Medina joined Bayer Leverkusen for 25 million euros, and Exequiel Palacios moved to Ipswich Town for 27.5 million euros.

In Argentina, River Plate has been highly active, securing the most expensive signing in the club's history by repatriating Thiago Almada from Atlético de Madrid for 20 million euros. The club also added veteran Nicolás Otamendi on a free transfer. Meanwhile, Iván Morales has moved to Independiente from Argentinos Juniors on a loan deal with a purchase option.

Tomás Galván has also extended his contract with River Plate until December 2028, following a period of various loans at other clubs.
