Argentina Naval Prefecture opens merchant marine training registration
The Argentine Naval Prefecture (PNA) has opened registration for regular courses for the 2027 academic cycle. These programs will be held at the Mar del Plata headquarters of the School of Training and Capacity for Merchant Marine Embarked Personnel.
The training is designed for individuals seeking to become deckhands or naval engine auxiliaries. Interested applicants must submit required documentation by November 13 at the school's headquarters in the Mar del Plata port area. While the courses are free, students are responsible for the costs of issuing certificates and embarkation documents.
Admission requirements include passing entrance exams, being at least 18 years old by March 2027, holding an Argentine DNI, and having completed or being in the final year of secondary education. Applicants must also provide a criminal record certificate and a specific photograph.
