Argentina offers extensive grocery discounts through Cuenta DNI and ANSES

Argentina’s digital wallet Cuenta DNI is promoting a suite of discounts and cash‑back rebates for shoppers during the long weekend and beyond. Users can receive up to 40% off at local markets, fairs and bottle‑fill stations, 25% off at participating restaurants and YPF FULL stations on weekends, and 30% off at select brands. Weekly reimbursement caps range from ARS 6,000 to ARS 18,000 depending on the category, with minimum purchase requirements to qualify.

In parallel, the National Social Security Administration (ANSES) continues its July programme of supermarket discounts for retirees and pensioners. More than 7,000 affiliated retailers, including Carrefour, Jumbo, Disco, Vea and Chango Más, apply automatic discounts of 10%‑20% at checkout when payments are made with the pension‑linked debit card. Additional cash‑back bonuses of up to ARS 25,000 are offered through partner banks such as Banco Supervielle and Banco Nación. The combined discounts aim to lower monthly food expenses for older Argentines amid recent pension adjustments.
