Argentina officials meet to address rising digital violence

Argentine Minister of Justice and Labor Julián López and Subsecretary of Access to Justice Jimena Capece led a working meeting to address digital violence. The meeting aimed to create a common framework and coordinated strategies involving the public and private sectors, including technology, education, health, and security.

Officials noted that digital violence has increased by 19% in 2026 compared to 2025. Data indicates that 46% of these incidents occur via messaging, 32% on social networks, and 18% in online games. The primary modality identified is grooming, which accounts for 53% of cases.
