Argentina opens inclusive Jujuy sports complex and Villa María community sports hub
Governor Carlos Sadir inaugurated the first inclusive sports complex in San Salvador de Jujuy, located in the 530 Viviendas neighbourhood of San Pedrito. The facility features wheelchair‑accessible surfaces, LED lighting, perimeter fencing, tactile paving and other adaptations designed to allow people with disabilities to practice sport and recreation. The project is part of a provincial plan that has delivered more than 50 sports and recreational works across Jujuy.
In Villa María, Mayor Eduardo Accastello opened a new 5‑hectare sports site in Las Acacias, converting a former dump into a community hub shared by four clubs – Unión Central, Tallerito, Alianza Handball and CIEF Handball. The complex provides fields and supporting infrastructure for the neighbourhoods of Las Acacias, Roque Sáenz Peña and Mariano Moreno, and will be linked to a local school and a future district police station.
