Argentina optimism falls as July 2026 survey shows growing pessimism
A poll released on 31 July 2026 found that optimism among Argentines has declined sharply. Three‑quarters of respondents expressed concern about low wages and unemployment, and more than 64 % said they view President Javier Milei’s government as becoming increasingly authoritarian. The survey also indicated a broad reluctance to take on additional public debt.
The findings were reported by the local outlet La Bocina, highlighting a deepening sense of economic and political unease in the country.
