Police seize 1,841 kg of cocaine in Goya, Corrientes

Federal police in Goya, Corrientes province, carried out a coordinated operation that dismantled a drug‑trafficking organization. Four simultaneous raids led to the arrest of the alleged leader and the seizure of 1,841 kg of powdered cocaine, more than 5.7 million Argentine pesos in cash, 600 U.S. dollars, several cell phones, a motorcycle, ammunition and other logistical items.

The investigation, conducted over several months by the Federal Police’s Operational Unit Goya, used intelligence, undercover surveillance and criminal analysis to map the network’s supply chain. The confiscated cocaine, valued at over 41 million pesos, was placed under the custody of the Federal Justice system for further prosecution. Authorities highlighted the operation as part of their ongoing effort to combat drug trafficking and organized crime throughout Argentina.
