Argentina police detain 23‑year‑old for breaching restraining order on his mother

Police from Community Police Station No. 49 responded to an emergency alert in the Tarapaya neighbourhood of Argentina after a 50‑year‑old woman activated a court‑provided anti‑panic button. The alert was triggered when her 23‑year‑old son, who was under a judicial restraining order prohibiting any approach to her, returned to her home demanding money and began insulting her.

The mother’s activation of the alert enabled officers to locate the son near the former Polígono area, where he was detained and taken to the police station. A prosecutor ordered his detention on charges of alleged judicial disobedience, and he remains in custody pending further legal proceedings.
