Argentina police detain driver after two accidents and seize cocaine from bus passenger

Police in Argentina arrested a driver of a Ford K after the vehicle was involved in two separate traffic collisions in the city. In the first crash at the intersection of Néstor Kirchner Avenue and Quinta Street, the car struck a motorbike, injuring the rider who was taken to Hospital Central. Minutes later the same vehicle hit two parked trucks at O’Higgins and Segunda streets. The driver tested positive for alcohol, had his vehicle seized and was taken into custody.

In a separate road‑safety operation, the National Gendarmerie’s Squad 29, aided by a narcotics detection dog named “Mambo”, stopped a long‑distance bus traveling from Mendoza to Malargüe. The dog alerted officers to a Peruvian passenger, leading to the discovery of 257 g of cocaine in her luggage. The woman was detained and the drugs were seized.
