Argentina police seize modified air rifles and related weapons in La Plata and Las Toscas

Police in La Plata, Argentina, stopped a Chevrolet Spin after a 911 alert reported an ongoing robbery. Inside the vehicle three men from Florencio Varela were found with an air‑compressed rifle equipped with a telescopic sight, a night‑vision binocular, a high‑power reflector flashlight and three knives. They were detained, processed for resistance to authority, and later released by the prosecutor.

In Las Toscas, a separate patrol team arrested a senior man riding a bicycle that carried a similarly modified air rifle and .22‑calibre cartridges. Officers also seized a machete, two knives, and additional metal components. The suspect was taken to the police station for further investigation.
