Argentina privatizes management of National Route 18
Argentina has granted concessions for National Route 18, transitioning the management of the highway to private entities. Following the signing of concession contracts, several companies will oversee different sections of the route, including the Central, North-Central, Northwest, Littoral, Northeast, Mesopotamian, Chaco, and Cuyo segments.
Starting October 7, COVICEN S.A. will take possession of the Central segment. Other operators include AUTOVÍA AL NORTE S.A.U. for the North-Central section, AUTOVIA DEL NOA S.A. for the Northwest, CORREDOR LITORAL S.A. for the Littoral, and CAMINO SELVA S.A. for the Northeast. Additionally, MESOPOTÁMICO S.A. will manage the Mesopotamian segment, VÍAS DEL PARANÁ MEDIO S.A. will handle the Chaco–Santa Fe section, and CAMINOS DEL ACONCAGUA will manage the Cuyo segment. This transition initiates the private administration and maintenance of over 3,900 kilometers of national routes and highways across the central, northwest, and northeast provinces.
