Argentina proposes singing Malvinas March at all parliamentary sessions

National Deputy Nicolás Trotta has introduced a resolution in the Argentine Chamber of Deputies to mandate the singing of the ‘Marcha de las Malvinas’ at the beginning of all parliamentary sessions. The proposal, supported by fellow legislators from Tierra del Fuego including Andrea Freites, Jorge Araujo Hernández, and Paulo Tita, suggests the march be performed following the raising of the National Flag and the singing of the National Anthem.

The initiative aims to provide a permanent tribute to veterans who defended Argentina's territorial integrity and to reaffirm the nation's sovereignty claims over the Malvinas, South Georgia, and South Sandwich Islands, as well as their corresponding maritime spaces. Trotta noted that the project aligns with the constitutional mandate regarding the recovery of these territories as a permanent objective of the Argentine people.
