Argentina protests across the country demand funding for public universities amid Milei's austerity

Tens of thousands of students, professors and union members took to the streets in Buenos Aires and other cities—including Córdoba, Mar del Plata, Mendoza and Tucumán—on May 13, 2026. The massive marches converged on Plaza de Mayo opposite the presidential palace and flooded nearby avenues, marking the fourth large‑scale national mobilization since President Javier Milei assumed office in December 2023.
