Argentina province starts 200,000‑peso subsidies for GTA workers

Forty‑two employees of the Granja Tres Arroyos meat‑processing plant in Concepción del Uruguay began receiving a provincial subsidy of 200,000 pesos. The payment marks the first step of a scheme launched by the Entre Ríos government to support workers affected by the company's financial crisis.

The Sindicato de la Alimentación says subsidies will be credited gradually, at a pace of 60 to 100 workers per week, until all eligible staff receive the benefit. The union will soon conduct a survey to identify employees who have not yet completed the required paperwork. In parallel, it is pressing the company to provide a payment plan for outstanding wages and is coordinating the distribution of prescribed medicines and food modules to the workforce.
