Argentina provinces face police and union protests over insufficient wage increases

In Santa Cruz Province, self‑organized police officers continued camp protests despite a raise to 1,746,634 pesos, arguing that it falls short of their request for an initial salary of 2.2 million pesos. The demonstrations put pressure on Governor Claudio Vidal and highlight broader concerns about inflation and public‑sector wages across Argentina.
