Santiago Madroñal and Paula Rizzi shine at Buenos Aires provincial athletics championships in Mar del Plata

The Buenos Aires provincial athletics championships for seniors and U23 were held in Mar del Plata, Argentina. Santiago Madroñal returned to competition after a long back injury, winning the high jump with a clearance of 1.88 m and the long jump with a mark of 6.95 m. Renata Barragán secured the 10 km race‑walk title. In the U23 discus, 13‑year‑old Paula Rizzi of San Cayetano placed fifth with a throw of 26.45 m, competing against athletes two age categories older. The meet also featured strong performances in shot put, hammer, sprints and distance events, and serves as a qualifier for upcoming national competitions in August.
