Argentina's state and municipal workers stage wage protests
State employees from the Association of Workers of the State (ATE) gathered at the Supervisión de Escuelas building in Comodoro Rivadavia, demanding a salary increase. Police intervened with tear‑gas canisters and special forces, leading to several arrests.
Municipal workers in Tigre, represented by the Asociación de Trabajadores Municipales de Tigre (ATRAMUTI), announced a state of alert and mobilization, calling on the city mayor for an urgent wage revision, the opening of collective bargaining, and full payment of the annual bonus without deductions.
