Mendoza Province's New Salado River Bridge Construction Advances
A major bridge linking Gran Mendoza with the south of Luján is nearing a key milestone as the 66 supporting beams are being installed, bringing the project to about 45 % completion. The work includes the deployment of a Chinese‑origin "lanzavigas" launch system to place beams over the Salado River, a technique rarely used in the region.
Other infrastructure initiatives across Argentina are progressing simultaneously. A viaduct on the Gran Avenida in Neuquén is under 24‑hour construction, with concrete beams and steel mesh already in place to improve urban safety and traffic flow. In the city of Mendoza, road resurfacing continues in the Escribano neighbourhood, adding a new paved section on Dorrego Street as part of a 28‑block paving plan financed by the provincial Ministry of Infrastructure.
Port Quequén is reinforcing its coastal defenses with structural repairs to counter water erosion, aiming to secure the port’s logistics chain. Meanwhile, traffic‑management works have begun on the Acceso Este corridor in Guaymallén, employing temporary diversions to keep vehicle flow uninterrupted during road upgrades.
Collectively, these projects aim to enhance regional connectivity, safety, and economic activity throughout the province and neighboring areas.
