Argentina raises domestic workers' minimum wages by 1.4% in July 2026
Domestic employees in Argentina received a 1.4 % salary increase applied in July 2026, the latest step of the sector’s parity agreement. The new minimum hourly rates are ARS 3,733.72 for workers with retirement and ARS 3,996.45 for those without, translating to monthly minima of ARS 458,053.22 and ARS 505,302.76 respectively. These figures apply to the "General Tasks" category, which covers the majority of registered household staff.
The August 2026 payroll will use the same rates unless a new resolution is issued. For a four‑hour weekly shift, weekly wages range from roughly ARS 14,934.88 to ARS 19,316.52 depending on job category and retirement status. The update affects all classifications under the special regime for household employees, and the National Commission for Domestic Work is expected to convene a new negotiation for future adjustments.
