Argentina regional football playoffs begin across San Nicolás and Tucumán

On Sunday the women's Liga Nicoleña de Fútbol entered its semifinal stage at the Somisa stadium in San Nicolás. Four first‑leg matches were scheduled: Somisa vs. Matienzo and El Fortín vs. Regatas in the Copa de Oro, followed by Paraná vs. Unidos San Nicolás and Los Andes vs. Fútbol San Nicolás in the Copa de Plata.

At the same time, the men's Liga Tucumana de Fútbol moved into its knockout phase. Ñuñorco defeated Juventud Unida 5‑1 in Lules, while Atlético Concepción earned a 0‑0 draw against San Juan that was enough to advance. Both clubs joined San Fernando and Deportivo Marapa in the round of 16, with several other teams already qualified from the regular season.
