Argentina reports over 2,500 transplants performed this year

Argentina is highlighting the critical importance of organ and tissue donation through national and regional awareness efforts. The National Institute Central Unique Coordinator of Ablation and Implantation (INCUCAI), alongside the Ministry of Health, reported that 1,427 donation processes have been carried out so far this year, enabling 2,551 people to receive transplants.

In the province of Entre Ríos, the Unique Coordinator Center for Ablation and Implantation (Cucaier) noted that 42 donation processes have occurred this year, consisting of 19 organ donations and 23 tissue donations.

August 29 marks the Organ Donor Day in Argentina, a date established by the family of María Antonella Trivisonno to honor the altruistic decision of donors and their families. Health officials emphasize that these acts of solidarity are essential for medical advancements to save lives and improve the quality of life for those awaiting transplants.
