Argentina road accidents result in multiple hospitalizations

Two separate traffic accidents occurred on Argentine highways, resulting in injuries and vehicle damage.

In Sanford, a semi-frontal collision between two trucks took place on National Route 33 due to dense fog. The accident occurred during an attempted overtaking maneuver, causing one truck to lose its grain container. Both drivers were able to exit their vehicles independently and were transported to the local Samco hospital for evaluation. Emergency responders, including the Sanford Volunteer Firefighters and rural police, managed the scene while the road was closed to clear spilled grain.

In a separate incident on Route 88 near the Mar del Plata Industrial Park, a collision between a Toyota Corolla and a Volkswagen Up left two people hospitalized. A 69-year-old man was trapped in his vehicle and required extraction by firefighters; he was transported to the Hospital Interzonal General de Agudos in critical condition with severe head trauma. A 4-year-old child traveling in the other vehicle sustained only minor nasal injuries, aided by the use of a seatbelt.
